Abstract:

The features of small business which affect the significance of education as a business function are considered. Conclusions on the small business as an employment sector are made on the basis of statistical indices. The authors have also made a conclusion about the limited possibilities for upgrading skills by employees at small business enterprises. Focus groups with participation of the Irkutsk region entrepreneurs conducted. The subject was the importance of training personnel of small business enterprises, the associated difficulties and possible guidance. Six groups of problems have been identified. Possible solutions have been combined into four groups.
