Abstract:

The article demonstrates the role of the Kaizen philosophy as a basis for creating process innovations through the lean manufacturing concept. The article presents the structure of the the elements of the lean manufacturing concept, shows a three-stage scheme of evolution of an enterprise switching to the Kaizen philosophy principles and lean manufacturing concepts. The authors propose further development of these management approaches by means of transforming lean enterprise into a lean cluster using the supply chain management concept.
