Herein a characteristic of an estimation method of property damages of an electric grid company through use of random values is provided. The article dwells upon the main approaches to the selection of the type of distribution of the random values of damages and the extent of thereof. Practical relevance of random values use for estimating possible damage is demonstrated, as well as directions for further usage of results, obtained due to this method, are proposed.
