Abstract:

The article considers the problems of Russian banks, the upcoming standards of Bank capital and “Basel III” liquidity. The authors stress that the new capital requirements for domestic banks restrict their possibilities of credit expansion. It emphasized the need to improve the methodology of risk assessment and the development of a substantial risk-oriented supervision.
