Abstract:

The article presents the analysis of the main directions of the monetary-credit policy of the Bank of Russia in the 1990 - 2000s, and also a substantiation of its relationship with the financial policy of the state. Based on the assessment of the views of modern economic literature authors, the author proved the dependence of monetary policy from the current organisation and use of state financial resources, as well as the state of the national economy of the transition period analyzed on the example of certain macroeconomic indicators. The analysis of the degree values of Central Bank independence in key decisions in their intervention in the monetary-credit sphere on the example of the Bank of Russia. The possibilities of enhancing the Bank of Russia with the purpose of development of the national economy refinancing are also considered.
