Abstract:

Over the past 20 years, numerous small and medium enterprises experienced internationalization, although in Russia this trend is just gaining momentum. Most of classical international business theories were created to explain the internationalization of large TNCs and only partially can be attributed to small business. This paper analyzes the application of existing theories in that field to the internationalization of small and medium enterprises.
