Abstract:

The current stage of economic development is characterized by increasing competition at all levels, including the regional one. In these circumstances, the issues related to competitiveness assessment of geographically organized economic systems, search of tools and ways to improve it become more significant than ever. The article defines the basic methodological approaches to the competitiveness assessment of geographically organized economic systems. Current methods of competitiveness assessment of a region are analyzed.
