Abstract:

The paper examines the current state of the canning industry in Tajikistan. As one of the most promising sectors of the agro-industrial complex, the canning industry of the republic is now going through off days: the transition to a market economy has destroyed the previous economic ties; depreciation of fixed assets does not allow producing high quality products. Analyzing the problems, the author defines the main strategic directions of the industry development and prospects associated with the introduction of Tajikistan to the WTO.
