Abstract:

Sustainable development of the region is provided mainly through a balance between the factors of social and economic development, on one hand, and the factors of natural and environmental development, on the other hand. The paper examines the main approaches to this concept in the framework of the regional economy, refines the concept of sustainable development of the region, and describes the factors that have an impact on the process of its sustainable development.
