The article presents the idea that the administrative and regulatory methods that prevailed in the system of management of the educational institutions before have given way to the economic and socio-psychological ones. This is due to the fact that under the current legislation, the income of educational institutions received from their paid services can be used for their own purposes: both for the modernization of the material and technical basis and as an incentive for the staff.
