Abstract:

The paper analyzes the peculiarities of functioning of the modern engineering firms. It emphasizes the complex nature of their services and the need to create these companies in the appropriate legal form, which has the prospect of selfdevelopment. Major scientific and industrial complexes and specialized structures of medium scale are optimal. In this context, the author raises the issue about the location of the logistic service and comes to the conclusion that the preferred option is to have it within the structure of the engineering company than to transfer the corresponding functions for outsourcing.
