Abstract:

Probable consequences of the planned pensions system conversion in Russia are analyzed in the article. The author demonstrates that unfavorable trends of health level and life expectancy of the elderly people in Russia, unlike western countries, will cause additional economic losses at increasing of retirement age. To get the planned benefits from retirement age increase, it is necessary, first of all, to carry out efficient modernization of domestic health system with priority of modern preventive technologies.
