Russia has joined the WTO. How will that affect the national economy? Considering the issue, the author analyzes both economic and political events that have unfolded since the middle of the last century. He analyzes the influence of WTO membership on the economies of China and Ukraine and convincingly argues that while giving advantages to the advanced economies, it turns less developed countries into the mere suppliers of raw materials.
