Abstract:

The article analyzes the history of the engineering industry in Russia from 1985 to 2010, clarifies the notion of «cluster», considers a cluster approach to identifying the ways of development of enterprises and organizations, and shows the need for government support programs for the cluster approach in forming the engineering associations. The author distinguishes principal features of modern Russian territorial high-tech associations.
