The paper describes the mechanisms of inflation processes in Russia under economic globalization. The author suggests that one of the main strategies to control inflation is the state protection of the national industry. However, this strategy cannot be effective in the absence of the state policy to increase the incomes of the population, especially those sectors whose income is less than the minimum subsistence level. After all, without the development of the internal market it is not possible to diversify the national economy.
