The paper considers application of innovations in the retail trade in order to improve its competitiveness. The author expresses the view that one of the most effective and innovative strategies for developing trading industry is the introduction of information technologies which allow expanding and improving the marketing impact on customers as well as taking into account ustomer’s
needs when forming the product range.
