Abstract:

Analyzing the situation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where the global financial crisis has mainly affected the company towns with a town-forming enterprise that determines the stability of the town economic activities, the author concludes that the regional Russian economy should develop in the direction of diversification of business activities through the creation of small businesses operating in different sectors of the economy.
