Abstract:

The article investigates some special features of natural monopolies and their role in Russia’s economic development. It is suggested that regulation of natural monopolies by the state is essential, and a number of algorithms for state regulation of the naturally monopolized industries should be applied in order to increase their competitiveness and efficiency.
