Abstract:

The article deals with the effectiveness of using information systems applied by companies when making managerial decisions. The writer comes to a conclusion that when assessing the effectiveness in question one should take into account the effect of correct and timely information on reduction of operating costs as well as the payback period of expenses on implementing such systems.
