Abstract:

In spite of the general paradoxical nature of the Russian labor market, there is still quite a logical dimension to its dynamics. The article is a study of the Russian labor market based on various statistical data, which reveals both its inconsistencies and regularities. There are some special features of the Russian and the European labor markets pointed out in the paper. Unemployment in Russia is quite untypical of transitional economies.
