Abstract:

The article analyzes the factors affecting the activity of small businesses in the Russian regions. By means of regression analysis the authors reveal a significant statistical relationship between the development level of human capital, the production volume and the turnover of small enterprises in the regions. They show that the educational level of the population employed in the regional economies is the most important factor influencing the activity of small businesses.
