Modernization of the Russian economy also implies a harmonization of the financial market in terms of creating a comfortable institutional support for the forms of investment organizations that are known in the global economic space. In the countries with developed market economies, the institution of hedge funds has been operating for more than half a century with varying degree of success. They have both advantages and disadvantages and therefore the possibility of successful adaptation of this institution in Russia arouses an intense scientific and practical interest. This problem requires a discussion of the scientific community and a joint development of scientific and methodological approaches to its solution.
