The article highlights the macroeconomic problems of crisis management and the economic security of the country. It shows that under the present conditions it is necessary to expand the idea of crisis management and to include the stabilization measures along with proactive anti-crisis measures in it. The process of monitoring the threshold values of economic security indicators has to include the analysis of the leading indicators of crisis, reflecting the cyclical fluctuations in the market conditions.
