Abstract:

The article examines the problems of global food security in the context of utilizing the land resources of the Russian Federation for agricultural purposes. Is a breakthrough in the agrarian sector of our country feasible? The author argues that the necessary condition for that are serious institutional reforms, which should be the objective prerequisites for technological modernization of the domestic agricultural production.
