Abstract:

Based on the analysis of functions of small enterprises in the innovation system, the author highlights the main types of small innovative companies. Considered constraints of development, slowing down the implementation of the innovative capacity of small businesses. To create an innovative economy in Russia it requires not only significant organizational, management and the legal momentum, but also the improvement of the environment, in which private initiatives can be implemented and economic agents revitalized.
