Abstract:

The article addresses the problem of socio-economic inequalities that exist in all countries. The author tries to answer the question whether globalization enhances the situation where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The research is based on the figures (for different countries around the world) of the human potential development index worked out by the UNO.
