The article shows that the existing recommendations and regulations on risk assessment of internal controls are not enough structured, which reduces the effectiveness of their use. The process of identifying and assessing such risks involves the study of all the constituent elements of the internal control system. So a technique is required that will link the individual elements of the accounting (financial statements) and the relevant elements of the internal control system.
