Abstract:

The author presents to readers his own classification of manufacturing companies, ranging them by their size, production type, management system and so on and focusing his attention on the project-oriented businesses, which in his opinion, occupy a special position in this classification. Unlike process-oriented enterprises, specializing in mass production, the work of project-oriented companies is related to the implementation of major orders obtained by tenders. This implies special features of business management.
