Abstract:

The author analyzes the economic damage to the region’s economy inflicted by drug addiction and suggests a method of quantitative estimation of this crime dysfunction. This technique can be used by the state and local authorities to quantify the overall drug situation and determine the economic efficiency of law-enforcement authorities in combating drug addiction.
