Abstract:

The article examines the principles and basic directions of investment policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan. A particular attention is paid to creating favorable conditions for the development of investment processes. On the basis of statistical data the author analyzes the total volume of investments in the economy, including the ones of external investors. She emphasizes the need for investments in the oil sector, which is necessary for social and economic development of Azerbaijan.
