The article examines the situation in the poultry industry in the Republic of Dagestan. The author believes that the industry is important for the food supply of the country and regions. However, despite the investment attraction even for foreign investors, the investment level in the industry is low today. The solution to this problem the author finds in creating and implementing a comprehensive investment policy at the federal and regional levels, as well as immediately at the level of each enterprise.
