Abstract:

The article examines opportunities and conditions for realizing by small and medium businesses their right of redemption of leased property, which is a municipal property or state-owned by entities of the Russian Federation. This right is granted to entrepreneurs by the Federal law № 159-FZ of 22.07.2008. Why this “small privatization” was unprofitable for businesses? What hinders its development? These issues are discussed in the article.
