Abstract:
The article analyzes small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia. It examines and analyzes their condition, number and distribution by the branch of activity, both in Moscow and in Russia as a whole. The author suggests that for a successful modernization of the economy the state should actively promote the development of small and medium-sized business in the country.
