Abstract:

The article examines the complex of factors underlying the growth of the current account deficit of the U.S. balance of payments in the last decade. The author analyzes the basic concepts used to characterize the global imbalances. What might result from the current account deficit of the U.S. balance of payments: risks to the stability of the world monetary system? Or is it one of the most important factors for economic growth in all other countries? Read more in the article.
