The article explains the necessity of attracting Russian pensioners to the labor market due to the expediency of using their professional skills and abilities. Comparing the situation in Russia with practices of foreign countries, the author concludes that we have adopted the retirement scheme, which is very different from the one used in industrialized countries. There the retirement age is higher, and usually there is a ban to receive a pension and continue professional work at the same time. There is also a practice of flexible rganization of retirement, which involves a gradual reduction of working time.
