Russia is an exporter of food grains, but we only sell the low-quality grain to the countries in Africa and the Middle East. An excess production of grain becomes the cause of reduction in prices in the grain markets. To avoid this, the state purchases grain from producers, these are so-called «purchasing interventions». However, economically it is not a profitable solution to the problem.
