Abstract:
The article discusses the demographic situation in Russia and its negative impact on the labor market. The author analyzes the existing government incentives to improve the birth rate and to combat unemployment. She suggests that to mitigate the negative social consequences of post-industrial economy it is necessary to apply the Keynesian methods of labor market regulation. The author sees their realization in creating additional jobs in the public sector.
