Abstract:

The article is devoted to the issues of sustainable development of the lumbering industry today. Such a need has arisen in view of the adoption of the development strategy for the Russian forest sector up to 2020. Moreover, there is a necessity to develop forest plans and forest management regulations at the regional and local levels.
