The problem of improving the customs tariff as a tool for regulating the national economy is the urgent issue of today’s young sovereign Tajikistan. The article deals with the establishment and development of the customs and tariff regulation and its mechanisms. It examines the rate of export and import duties, and collection of customs payments and receipts to the state budget. Based on the findings of the research, the author draws certain conclusions and suggests methods of improving customs tariffs.
