Abstract:

The article focuses on the role of Russian business in the modernization process. The author shows that for objective reasons, the domestic business is passive in the innovation sphere. He analyses expert suggestions to resolve the problem and draws a conclusion that the state, in a close collaboration with the business, should be the driving force of modernization in Russia.
