The article considers the problem of forming the investment climate of the region through the adoption of comprehensive policy documents and normative acts. The author shows that the current level of development of deposits on the Yamal Peninsula is a sufficient factor to attract investments from large, vertically integrated fuel and energy companies. However, for the comprehensive economic development of the district it is necessary to optimize the legal environment of the investment process at the regional level.
