Abstract:

The article is devoted to the analysis of acroeconomic dynamics in Russia in 1995-2009. The authors focus on the influence of consumer spending and investments on the economic growth. The analysis of consumption trends was made using the Keynesian consumption functions, calculated by the authors. The effect of production investments and innovations on the dynamics of GDP was estimated using the production function. The authors’ conclusion is the following: to overcome the after-effects of financial and economic crisis in our country it is necessary to stimulate investments and the aggregate demand as a whole.
