Activities of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on liberalizing the world trade are estimated in different ways, which is due, first of all, to the uneven distribution of benefits from it. Advanced economies can best use all its advantages, while developing countries tend to become their sales market or a source of cheap raw materials. The article presents the viewpoints of economists on this issue. The author draws a conclusion that for the further development of the world trade in the WTO equal opportunities should be provided for all countries - members of the organization.
