Abstract:

The dominant strategy of unincorporated organizations of clan and intellectual type, with predominant influence of their leaders and a "weak" culture, is the one defined by the leaders. Such strategy is followed by organizational culture. In contrast, in corporations of bureaucratic and stakeholder types culture becomes a leading factor in determining strategy. On the basis of strategy and culture as the main features the author outlines four models of organization.
