Abstract:
In the Russian banking system the percentage of banks controlled by the state, in total assets of the banking sector presents about 40%, share of total capital - more than 32%. World experience shows that banking competition should develop on the basis of restricting the role of state-owned banks. One way or another, they have exclusive access to budgetary resources, which hamper equitable banking competition.
