The author makes an attempt to analyze and summarize scientific data of recent years, allowing not only to give an idea about the state of small business in Transnistria but also to describe the region’s special features of the state support for this economic segment. Based on the analysis made the author draws conclusions, describes the shortcomings of the public authorities in the field of the small business support in the unrecognized republic.
