Abstract:
The present research considers the question of bringing foreign technologies in the national tank-building in 1920-ies. The need of modernization of the fighting machines fleet forced the Soviet Government to undertake complex measures in order to create and develop tank-building industry. As the national design school did not exist at that time, the foreign experience was borrowed by concluding contracts on technical assistance. Due to that it appeared to be possible to organize in the USSR production of the most advanced designs of armored machines in a short term.
