This article discusses the problems of interdependence of growth of regional economies, the impact of their degree of innovation activity on the business (business) activity. As an object of study we selected a number of regions of Volga Federal District, and as a criteria - indicators reflecting the intensification of innovation activity as of the producers, as of entrepreneurs which form the demand for innovation.
