Abstract:

The article reviews the current status of small innovative enterprises (SIE) in Japan. Expands the notion of «resource potential of the company», studies the mechanisms for creating an enabling economic environment for the SIE. The author considers the peculiarities of public and private financial support for the SIE, tells of the special programs on education and training and providing information services to small businesses. Particular attention is paid to the description of the project «Technopolis».
