An important step in developing a strategy developer of business structure is evaluation of its internal environment. Assessing the internal environment can be divided into two steps: firstly, to highlight the processes implemented in the developer structure and available resources, secondly, to evaluate selected elements, i.e., to determine which of them are strengths which are weak and which - the key competencies. In this work the author gives recommendations regarding to the implementation of these steps.
